The Mini Dreadnought is designed for anyone who enjoys a Dreadnought style guitar but might want it in a slightly more "easy to handle," portable size. The slightly smaller (15/16 size) body size makes it light and comfortable to hold, and the 24.75" scale length makes it easy to play even the most complex chords on its full-size neck. Made from the toughest engineered tonewoods, this guitar is rugged and durable, yet gives up nothing to the legendary Dreadnought sound. The price includes the all new Transit Bag carry case that is slim, lightweight, tough and features a zippered laptop/accessory pocket for all your musical needs. Discover the amazing sound of a mini-Dreadnought guitar at an incredibly affordable price.
Now everyone can afford to take along a great sounding, easy playing guitar wherever they might go. You can determine where to PICK WHERE YOU PLAY.
Listen to the VAMD-02
Great guitar and for air travel too. I have the VAMD-02NS Transit purchased to travel to Jackson Hole WY. Played it at the Hootenanny in Moose WY while on vacation. Guitar traveled well on an air bus as well as a regular passenger airline.
Just recently had the action lowered on the guitar and with lighter gauge strings (11's). My guitar tech was extremely impressed with the hinge and construction. I love it even more. The guitar sounds great to me.
A very good value for what you get.

I didn't realize it came with such a nice backpack that is well designed and has a secret pocket against the back which is a LAPTOP CASE!!! It sounds AMAZING!!!! My new favorite guitar!

Bought this to take along to the Beach. Takes up half the room of a Little Martin and Sounds MUCH better. I am very proud of this product, does what it says and then some. The overall feeling about this guitar is I like it. It’s well built, easy to carry in and on the planes I’ve been on. I love this so much that I’m looking into getting a soft gig bag so when I move it from home to work I don’t have to break it down. I want to play it! Anyway highly enjoy playing this guitar; I’m glad I have to travel with when I’m out of town, and to practice at work.

I bought a VAMD-02 a few months ago. Like I say about it, it is a GREAT guitar that happens to fold up! That’s it! It is a GREAT sounding guitar. The action is great, the strings hold up just like they would on a regular guitar. I carry mine with me everywhere I go when I travel. Whether I fly or drive. It is just so convenient to put all the capos, picks, even a laptop in the backpack style carry case. The neck is just like it was when I bought it. You won’t regret buying one. It REALLY fits a need!

I bought the lower end model acoustic, The VAMD-02 and so far it’s been great. Quality build, Quality parts, great gigbag backpack. And it definitely gets a double take when people see you set it up or take it down. Mine has a capture nut with a zero fret, stays in tune or very close to it each time. It’s been in the 90s here for a temp and humid. I'll be keeping this. It should fit in the Jeep just fine! On another note, my playing seems set off a chorus of coyotes for background singers...... tough crowd.

But first, I’d say this. Due to the low cost, these VA-MD02 models are a blessing because you have a full sounding and EASY playing guitar that you don't have a bundle invested in and you just don't have to worry about it. It gets a ding-so what; you have a story to tell, etc. VA's rock man!

To be honest this hinged innovative design was the main selling point to me. I can't believe nobody thought of this before but maybe they thought like I did. I thought it probably won't stay in tune but I was wrong. I'm amazed every time I pull it out of the case and open it up because it’s perfectly tuned.
