On August 15, Acoustic Guitar magazine announced the winners of its 2011 Player’s Choice Awards (PCAs), a biennial vote cast by players and enthusiasts about their favorite guitars, gear and instructional products.
First time out: Voyage-Air Guitar took the Bronze Award, beating out over 30 long-established contenders. Adrian Bagale, COO of Voyage-Air Guitar was quick to point out the implications of this award:
"This is not just a 'Travel Guitar'," said Bagale. "It's an entirely new category of product: a full-size, no-compromise instrument that happens to fold in half for travel. We're more than pleased with the rapid market acceptance of our new, patented technology. Our acoustic guitar products span the range from students to music pros, who are playing them on stage… On stage at sold-out concerts for bands like Bob Seger and Paul McCartney.”
Bagale concluded: “No other ‘Travel Guitar’ can claim that. Maybe next year they’ll have to make a new category: ‘Best Full-Size, Full-Scale, No-Compromise Acoustic Travel Guitar.”
